
In a world where there are always a million and one things to do at a any given time one is always thrown with the confusion of defining priority and choosing what and who should have ones attention at any point in time.
Given the amount of time available to us, there will never be enough time to finish up all you want to do, considering the fact that you must educate yourself just as you must entertain yourself, and you must be enterprising just as you must give and do for your community; bearing that I mind, let me offer a simple method that we can all employ to help us sort out this confusion. The method is very simple and will cost you zero money; it will also not take much of your time all it require is a very good sense of self management.
The system involves using a “TO DO LIST”. at the risk of sounding naïve and over simplistic I present that with this simple method you can increase your productivity by at least 60% (from personal index).
What you do is, before you start your day (of cause your day starts when you wake, but for the sake of perspective I assume you start your day when you are ready to go about your activities) you write out the things you should do on a paper or typed in your phone using your pre-written goals and resolutions as your guide.
What I mean is; if for instance, one of your goals for the month is to write 31 pages of a book, it means you should write one page per day for a 31-day month, and it should enter your “to-do-list” as one of the items you should do; to even take it a bit further you can add a time frame for each task.
This works like magic as the mere act of writing helps your mind work out the modalities of carrying out the task even before you write it, one argument against this is storing the things in your mind; my response is simple “the faintest ink is sharper than the sharpest brain” we are created to forget things (for our own good) so writing things down will inevitably help put things in perspective.
Your hand phone is a very powerful tool to use for this as it goes everywhere with you. The advantage of using your hand phone is that you can add reminders to remind you when you ought to do a particular task. TRY THIS AND WATCH YOUR LIFE BECOME AN EPITOME OF PRODUCTIVITY.
